NGNY - Certified B-Corporation

NGNY is proud to be recognised as a Certified B Corporation since 2018. We continue to reap many benefits from the acknowledgement and exposure this accreditation provides.

Certified B Corporations represent an emerging group of companies which, across the globe, are using the power of business to create a positive impact on the world and generate a shared and durable prosperity for all.  They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment. This is a community of leaders driving a global movement of people using businesses as a force for good - regardless of the ownership or composition of the businesses - Indigenous and otherwise.

In fact, NGNY is so far one of only a handful of Indigenous owned and Certified B Corporations in Australia.

As NGNY is a 100% Indigenous owned business, we take great pride in aligning ourselves to the aspirations of Certified B Corporations and complying with their code of ethics.  We’re continually working toward the advancement of our community and sharing in the opportunities and prosperity that this land offers.

Beyond Bank Australia, one of the growing numbers of Australian Certified B Corporation members, believes “If you want to create an organisation that lives and breathes an ethical culture, leaders must encourage and develop an environment that inspires its people to make judgements that are good not only for the organisation and its customers, but for society as a whole.”

Patagonia Inc (the US apparel company) says “We’re in business to save our planet.  We aim to use the resources we have, our business, our investments, our voice and our imaginations - to do something about it”.

It’s easy to see these companies are very authentic and ethical and take real measures to act upon issues in line with their social conscience.
